The Selection and Demobilization Centre of Quibala in Kuanza Sul Province is closed on 24 May as the first phase of demobilization moves ahead. The Military War Disabled Special Centre Bonga in Huambo province is also closed on 17 May. By 3 June almost 10,000 ex-FMU troops were demobilized.
