This study responds to a request from His Excellency, the Minister of Energy and Water of Angola, to help the Government of Angola transition from a reactive response mode to a proactive and resilient approach in the face of drought and water insecurity in the South of Angola. Thus, this first World Bank report on drought in Angola aims to provide a practical approach and actionable measures to support the Government of Angola in its paradigm shift toward drought and climate resilience.
