On February 20 2002, up to 300 Angolans met to discuss the resolution of the Angolan conflict and ways of boosting the intervention of Angolan civil society into the process of bringing peace to the country.
In the presence of King Muachissengue of Lunda-Tchokwé and Queen Nhakatolo wa Tchissengo of Moxico-Luvale, traditional chiefs, humanitarian officials, religious entities, academics, students, activists and independent-minded politicians shared and strengthened a common goal: peace for Angola by peaceful means and through broad-based discussions on the future of the country.
