Characterization of observed rainfall in Angola and surrounding countries

There was no database of historic rainfall data for Angola and there has been little work on rainfall variability and rainfall intensity in Angola, despite its importance for understanding important issues of droughts and floods There has been limited analysis of links of rainfall with ENSO, sea surface temperatures etc (though it has been hypothesised that there are links with SST and other drivers of variability)
