Urban services and housing is intrinsically related. Services affect the health and well being of residents and affect the sustainability of human settlements. This also affect investment into an area. This document provides a brief overview and update of the current state of urban service provision in Angola.
Since 2007, the government has implemented the Water for All Programme3 with a budget of more than US$ 650 million; it aims to achieve coverage of 80% in rural/peri-urban areas. According to an evaluation conducted in 2012, the program had a nationwide coverage of 45.5% reaching 3 million beneficiaries. The financial investmrnt was increased in 2009 to US$
