Dentro do contexto do actual projecto, a Development Workshop pretende efectuar um estudo para esclarecer o estatuto das actuais leis de posse de terra e identificar os caminhos a seguir para poder desenvolver políticas sobre estas questões. Numa fase posterior do projecto, o objectivo da DW é o de divulgar de forma massiva a informação obtida através da distribuição de manuais e a formação de agentes de desenvolvimento comunitário, a fim de ajudar os habitantes a serem mais esclarecidos sobre o seu estatuto como proprietário da terra ou como ocupante. De interesse particular está o direito das mulheres em adquirir e herdar títulos de propriedade.
Within the context of the present project, DW plans to carry out a research study to clarify the status of land tenure laws today and to identify the directions of evolving policy on land issues. It is DW’s intention at a later phase of the project to make information obtained widely available through the distribution of simple manuals and through training community development workers to assist residents in clarifying their land tenure or occupancy status. Of particular interest is women’s rights to acquire and inherit land titles.
