Water Access and Housing in Luanda

Urbanization and inadequate urban services have rapidly created enormous
health and housing problems for the people of Luanda, the capital and largest city of
Angola. The volume of water available is insufficient and contaminated, and the lack of
adequate sanitation has resulted in high levels of water- and waste-related disease.
