The provincial deputy police commissioner of Malange, Mr. Sousa Kipakassa, was wounded in an attack launched by UNITA residual troops on a convoy of police vehicles at Cassinga, 65 kms from the city of Malange. The local authorities informed the Angolan news angency Angop that the police managed to capture one element of the group, indetified as Jose Andre Baptista.
